Transferring iPhone Text Messages to An Excel Sheet

Solution 1: Backup iPhone Message to Computer

After install iPhone Data Recovery to your computer, connect your iPhone with the computer via USB cable. And you would see the interface below when run the program. Click "Recover Data from iOS Devices".

In order to save time, we here suggest you to choose only "Messages & Attachments". And you would only see the result of messages in the scanning result.

As we know the iCloud backup is always used for restore iOS device, have you ever thought that we can extract messages information for iCloud backup and save them as excel sheet? For users who have the habit to keep iCloud backup, this method can also be convenient.

Just select "Recover from iCloud Backup Files" and you are required to sign in your Apple ID account.

After you log into the iCloud account, all backups associated with this Apple ID will be listed.  You can choose the latest one or you can according to the name, date, version and size to choose your target iCloud backup file and click "Next".

In the next window, you can only choose "Messages (Attachments)" and click "Next" to download the backup files.

When the process is done, you follow the above steps to export iPhone text messages from iCloud to computer, change the settings and save them in Excel!
